The workflow

A checked change.
An explicit handoff.

Conquistar connects the task, the proposed patch, the checks, and the installation record. Start with the bundled tag-normalization example, then define a task of your own.

Explore the three steps in this illustration. The command-line tools run on your machine; this is a walkthrough, not a live coding session.

Behavior cases
5 explicit cases

A small task. A clear boundary.

Choose the TypeScript files, the allowed edit, and the behavior you expect before work starts.

01

Set the boundary.

Select the existing TypeScript modules, the files that may change, and the behavior cases the result needs to pass.

02

Check the proposal.

Compile and exercise the proposed code in a pinned Docker runtime. An agent saying “done” does not count as acceptance.

03

Keep the final say.

Review the accepted change. Installation is explicit, checks for conflicting local edits, and leaves a recorded decision.

Put it to work.
On your machine.

Run the Windows installer, then open Conquistar from the Start Menu. Setup installs for your Windows account without administrator access. The guided command-line first run checks prerequisites and prepares a starter task.

Proprietary software. Free beta terms apply.

Before you start

  • Windows 11 x64 with a local Windows user profile.
  • Docker Desktop running Linux containers.
  • Codex installed, signed in, with model access.

Python, native tools and the TypeScript verifier are bundled. Model usage is separate from the free download.

Verify your download

The Windows installer is unsigned. Compare the downloaded file’s SHA-256 before running setup. A matching checksum confirms the bytes, not a publisher signature.

What can I use this beta for?

Small, bounded changes to existing TypeScript modules with explicit behavior cases. The current installer applies one accepted file locally. Whole-application verification, atomic multi-file installation and deployment are outside this beta.

Is it really free?

This beta download costs nothing and needs no payment details or Conquistar account. Codex, model access and Docker Desktop have their own requirements and any applicable charges. There is no automatic conversion to a paid plan.

What does beta mean here?

This is an early public release, using the qualified 0.1.0-rc.1 package. Expect rough edges and evolving workflows. Checks cover the cases you supply, so review changes and keep backups. No automatic updater is included.

Where does my code go?

Conquistar keeps task state and verification records locally. Selected code and task context can be sent through your own Codex connection to its model provider. Docker receives the selected files for verification.

How do I update or uninstall?

Run setup again to verify and reuse the installed runtime. New runtime versions use separate folders to preserve existing Codex connections. Uninstall from Windows Settings or the Start Menu. Versions containing saved .conq work are retained with their runtime; changed and unexpected files are also kept. Review retained work and disconnect its Codex connections before deleting it manually. Existing portable installations stay in their original folders.
